About Alex Bakowski

Alex Bakowski is a board certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Alex’s goals are to form a collaborative and meaningful relationship with his patients in order to treat their pain. He understands that each patient’s pain experience is unique, and should be approached with treatment tailored to a person’s individuality.

Prior to entering the medical field, Alex received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science through Eastern Illinois University and completed a clinical exercise physiology internship in Chicago, Illinois. He earned a second Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing through Arizona State University at which time he earned an Academic Achievement Reward. Alex then went on to earn his Master of Science degree in Family Practice through Grand Canyon University. Alex’s nursing background includes over 5 years of ICU experience prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. During graduate school he completed rotations in family practice, internal medicine, cardiology, pediatrics, dermatology, gynecology, and pain management.

Alex enjoys exercising, reading, and honing new skills such as cooking, and grilling. He enjoys traveling with his wife and spending quality time with their two dogs.
