About Gregory Zakas, DO

Dr. Zakas was born and raised in the suburban region of Boston, Massachusetts. He pursued his medical education at A.T. Still University, attending the first two years of medical school in Kirksville, Missouri, and the subsequent two years in the Phoenix valley. During his early days in Phoenix, he developed a strong affinity for the area and was determined to return after completing his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2013, Dr. Zakas moved back to Phoenix and completed his fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine in 2014.

Currently, Dr. Zakas specializes in providing treatment for joint and spinal pain, sports-related injuries, and injuries resulting from motor vehicle collisions. He has extensive experience in performing fluoroscopically-guided procedures and significant sub-specialty training in orthobiologic treatments.

During his leisure time, Dr. Zakas enjoys exploring new destinations, hiking, and indulging in writing pursuits.
